Terms and conditions

JB Nordic AB, company reg. no 556657-0338, Värmdövägen 253, 131 42 Nacka, Sweden. Valid from 14 September 2026.

JB Nordic sells to business customers only. Below are our terms of sale, warranty terms and return terms.

Terms of sale

1. Scope

These terms apply to all sales from JB Nordic AB to business customers. JB Nordic sells to businesses only; consumer sales legislation does not apply.

The customer expressly waives its own purchasing terms, even if these are invoked in an order or other document and even if they were drawn up after these terms. Any deviation from these terms is binding only if agreed in writing in advance.

2. Quotations and orders

A quotation is valid for 30 days from the date of the quotation unless otherwise stated. A contract is concluded when JB Nordic has confirmed the order in writing. Information in catalogues, price lists and on the website is approximate and does not bind JB Nordic until confirmed in an order confirmation.

3. Prices

All prices are stated excluding VAT. JB Nordic reserves the right to change the prices stated on the website and in price lists without prior notice. Unless otherwise agreed, JB Nordic is entitled to compensation for cost increases due to taxes, public charges and exchange rate movements occurring after the date of the quotation or order.

Prices for customers outside Sweden may be stated in euro according to a separate price list. For sales to a VAT-registered buyer in another EU country, the reverse charge procedure applies. The customer is responsible for providing a correct VAT registration number.

4. Payment terms

Payment shall be made no later than 20 days after the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. In the event of late payment, default interest of 9% per year is charged from the due date, together with reminder and debt collection fees in accordance with the law.

JB Nordic is entitled to withhold further deliveries until overdue payment has been made, and to require advance payment or security following a credit assessment.

5. Retention of title

Delivered goods remain the property of JB Nordic until payment has been made in full, to the extent such retention of title is valid under applicable law. The customer may not pledge, transfer or otherwise dispose of the goods to the detriment of JB Nordic's rights before payment has been made in full.

6. Delivery

Unless otherwise agreed, goods are delivered DAP (Delivered at Place, Incoterms 2020) to the address stated by the customer. JB Nordic insures the delivery during transport until it reaches the recipient.

Stated delivery times are estimates. Delay does not entitle the customer to damages or compensation for lost production, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Shipping

Shipping is always charged unless otherwise agreed. For orders of consumables exceeding SEK 10,000 excluding VAT, delivery within Sweden is free of charge. Prices include packaging.

8. Inspection on arrival and defects in delivery

It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the goods on arrival for defects. If the goods are damaged or something is missing on delivery, this must be noted on the carrier's consignment note, and the damage must be reported to us in writing without delay, and no later than 10 days after receipt. In the event of damage, the packaging must always be kept until an inspection can take place.

Defects that could not be detected on arrival must be reported in writing without delay after the defect was discovered or should have been discovered.

In the event of a return, the goods must be sent back unused and in their original packaging. Markings or notes must never be made indelibly on the goods or on the original packaging.

9. Cancellation

If the customer requests cancellation of ordered equipment within 3 working days of the order confirmation, a cancellation fee of 20% of the quotation value is charged. Cancellation after that is permitted only if JB Nordic can cancel the goods with the supplier at no cost; otherwise the full order value is charged.

Items ordered in and special orders cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed with the supplier.

10. Buy-back

Not applicable.

11. Returns and warranty

JB Nordic's return terms apply to returns and our warranty terms apply to the warranty, both further down this page.

12. Product use and medical device requirements

The products shall be installed, used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for use and JB Nordic's instructions. The customer is responsible for ensuring that staff using the equipment have the necessary competence, and that the installation environment — electricity, compressed air, ventilation and extraction — meets the manufacturer's requirements.

The customer is responsible for its own organisation's compliance with the regulations for medical devices. Complaints and deviations relating to product quality shall be reported to JB Nordic so that they can be handled within JB Nordic's quality management system in accordance with ISO 13485.

13. Limitation of liability

JB Nordic's liability is limited to what follows from these terms and from the warranty terms. JB Nordic is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as lost production, downtime, loss of profit or the cost of rework by a third party.

JB Nordic's total liability for a delivery is limited to the invoiced value of that delivery. The limitations do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, or where mandatory law provides otherwise.

14. Force majeure

JB Nordic is released from liability for failure to perform an obligation if the failure is due to circumstances beyond JB Nordic's control, such as industrial action, war, decisions by public authorities, pandemic, transport disruption, shortage of means of transport, shortage of energy or raw materials, or absent or delayed delivery from a subcontractor.

15. Personal data

JB Nordic processes personal data in order to perform contracts, provide support and meet legal obligations, including traceability requirements for medical devices. If you have questions about the processing, contact us at info@jbnordic.se.

16. Governing law and disputes

Swedish law applies to the contract. Disputes shall in the first instance be resolved by negotiation between the parties. If no agreement is reached, the dispute shall be settled by a Swedish general court, with Nacka District Court as the court of first instance.

17. Changes

JB Nordic reserves the right to change these terms. The current version is always available on this page. For an individual order, the terms published at the time of the order confirmation apply.

Warranty terms

1. Scope of the warranty

JB Nordic AB generally provides a 12-month "bring in" warranty on new equipment. The warranty applies from the time the delivery is received by the customer. For certain products the manufacturer provides a longer warranty; what applies to the individual product is stated in the order confirmation or product documentation.

"Bring in" means that the customer is responsible for transporting the equipment to JB Nordic. JB Nordic arranges and pays for transport back to the customer where a warranty claim is approved.

2. What the warranty covers

JB Nordic repairs or replaces free of charge parts that have become unusable through normal use during the warranty period as a result of manufacturing defects. Replaced parts become the property of JB Nordic.

If a repair cannot be carried out under the warranty, JB Nordic provides a cost estimate before work begins.

3. Conditions

The warranty applies on condition that the product has been installed, used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's and/or JB Nordic's instructions, that prescribed maintenance has been carried out and can be evidenced, and that the product has been used in an environment that meets the manufacturer's requirements.

4. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • wear parts and consumables, for example collets, milling burs, filters, seals, lamps and batteries
  • faults caused by incorrect installation, incorrect handling or lack of maintenance
  • damage from external influences, such as voltage variations, lightning strikes, liquid, dust, compressed air of insufficient quality or an unsuitable ambient environment
  • intervention, repair or modification carried out by anyone other than JB Nordic or a party designated by JB Nordic
  • use of spare parts, tools or materials not approved by the manufacturer
  • transport damage, which is handled under the terms of sale instead
  • normal adjustment, calibration and software updates

5. Reporting a warranty claim

A warranty claim shall be reported in writing to our support department as soon as possible after the fault has been discovered. State the product, serial number and a description of the fault.

For warranty claims the customer is responsible for transporting the equipment to JB Nordic; JB Nordic arranges transport back to the customer. If troubleshooting shows that the warranty claim is not valid, a troubleshooting and handling fee is charged according to the price list.

6. Limitation of liability

JB Nordic is not liable for information stored on the equipment; responsibility for backups rests with the customer. We disclaim all liability for consequential damage such as downtime, loss of production, and injury to persons or damage to property. Nor does the warranty cover transport damage.

7. Repairs carried out by a third party

Where a repair of equipment is carried out by a third party, for example an external technician engaged by the customer, all communication regarding the repair takes place between JB Nordic and the customer.

8. Service agreements

Extended warranty and service agreements with planned maintenance can be taken out separately. Contact JB Nordic for information.

Return terms

1. General

We at JB Nordic sell to businesses only and we do not offer a right of return on approval. A return always requires JB Nordic's prior approval.

2. Requesting a return

If for any reason you wish to return an item you have bought from us, you must first contact us by email or telephone and explain why. State the order number, item, quantity and the reason for the return. The request must be made within 14 days of the delivery date.

We assess your request case by case and decide whether we can approve a return or not.

3. Approved returns

If we approve your return we will send a consignment note for you to use to send the item back to us. You are responsible for ensuring that the item is well packed and in the same condition as when you received it. Markings or notes must never be made indelibly on the item or on the original packaging.

4. Credit

Once we have received and checked the item we will issue you a credit for the amount you paid for it, less the return shipping. You can use the credit to buy other goods from us within one year of the date of return.

5. Goods not accepted for return

JB Nordic does not accept returns of:

  • goods where the packaging has been opened or the seal broken
  • materials with a stated expiry date or batch/LOT number where traceability can no longer be ensured
  • items ordered in and special orders
  • customised products
  • goods that are damaged, used or missing their original packaging or accessories

6. Traceability

JB Nordic is certified to ISO 13485. Returned medical devices can only be returned to stock if the product's identity, batch or LOT number and storage conditions can be evidenced. That is why opened packaging and missing markings normally rule out a return.

7. Changes

We reserve the right to refuse a return if the item is damaged, used or missing its original packaging or accessories. We also reserve the right to change our return policy at any time without notice. The current version is always available on this page. If you have any questions about our return policy, please contact us before ordering. Thank you for choosing JB Nordic!
