A milling machine without proper extraction mills in its own chips, and it shows as poorer surfaces, shorter tool life and dust in the room. The V10 is connected to the machine and responds as soon as the run starts. The filter is shaken clean electronically, so the suction is the same in the next run as in the first, and the dust collects in a drawer that pulls out and empties without you opening the unit.
