Sintering is the last step where something can still go wrong, and a failed cycle costs the whole batch. The triangular chamber gives a balanced heat field, so the crowns on the outside come out like the ones in the middle no matter how full it is. The segmented cooling takes the restorations through the critical temperature ranges at a controlled rate instead of letting them cool freely, and the furnace reads voltage, current and ambient temperature during the cycle so that deviations show up before they become a lost batch.
