Plastic and wax place the opposite demands to zirconia: the chips are to be cleared away, not ground. The wrong tool builds heat and gives a smeared surface that has to be reworked, or in the worst case breaks your tools. These are ground to cut cleanly, so what comes out of the machine goes straight to polishing.
