Titanium is tough rather than hard. It is gummy under the edge, it work-hardens where the tool rubs, and it welds to the cutting edge the moment the chip stops clearing. That is why a general-purpose bur gives you a short tool life and a surface that needs grinding back. These are ground and coated for titanium, with a rake and flute geometry that keeps the chip moving, so the edge stays sharp through a whole blank. Start with T1 or T2 for roughing, finish with the toric and flat tools, and take the small ball burs down into the interproximal areas.
