The wash decides how much uncured resin is left on the surface when the part goes into the curing unit, and residue there gives both a tacky surface and poorer post-curing. With two chambers the final rinse always takes place in clean liquid. The parts come out cleaner, the alcohol lasts longer and you avoid having to judge by feel when it is time to change it.
